Default AVCR boost setup on Classic WRX

Hello,

I am finally getting round to fitting my AVCR to my MY98 WRX.

Its mapped by AndyF to 1.25 bar but I am taking it to 1.4 midrange and then tailing off at the top.

This is what I would like to know. AT what rpm should I be reducing the boost back down to 1.25? I have the rev limit at 7.3k, but never really go above 6.5k.

I spoke to Andy a while back to see if 1.4 was doable and he said yes, but I forgot to ask at what RPM to reduce.

Cheers,

Wayne.

I would be suprized unless Andy mapped it to higher boost and then dropped it afterwards that Andy would suggest you just up the boost without him checking it / setting it up.

I know what rpm I would drop the boost back down at etc.. but it is pointless me suggesting that as I didn't map it.. I would suggest you contact Andy and get him to set the boost up and check the fuelling and ignition at the new boost level.
