Weight of Petrol
stupid question but does anyone know the weight of a litre of petrol?

1Litre of water = 1Kg. Gravity of Petrol approx 0.74.. 1Kg X 0.74 = 740g per litre. approx.

so... 55 litre tank full of petrol would weight 40.7 kgs - give or take a bit in the filler neck?

it is all relative to the temperature of the fuel as well, as the colder the fuel the denser it is, therefore ever so slightly heavier on a cold day (per litre)
