Default £1000 to spend an typeUK?

Hello all,

A freind has a 53 plate standard STi TypeUK and its just out of warranty. He's got a 1000 to spend on it. He's happy with brakes and handling, but he's tempted by the bumpsteer mod.

What would YOU spend a grand on, I think he's thinking more engine than any thing else.

2nd that!! Although if I understand it correctly in the new age cars, the cat in the up-pipe restricts the amount of power the mapper can extract, so I'd be looking at a decat up-pipe too. If you get a remap in a Group buy and maybe your Sports cat DP too, this lot may be acheiveable on 1k.

theres no cat in up pipe on sti only wrx

i'd say save a bit more so he can get all below

remap about £600
full exhaust about £500 - £600
fuel pump about £100
air filter panel about £60

should get between 320 to 350bhp

Ah, thanks for putting me straight on that!

Agree with your strategy BTW. I'd port the headers too, but that's more money!
