Car wont start any ideas??
The Car
MY99 UK Classic GC8 Standard
The Story
I was on my way to the gym with the radio on, then all of a sudden it (the radio) starts hissing so i think **** summots wrong with one of my amps, then i look up and my AFR gauge is going crazy (more than it usually does). So i now think somethings shorting out but its p1ssing down outside and dark so i think i look at it tommorrow when its light and continue to the gym.
Then when i come out of the gym and go to start the car it wont start, but its really weird it actually sounds like its going to start for the 1st 2 seconds but then doesnt.
My Thoughts
So i'm thinking it could be an earthing issue so i get my jump leads out and earth the gearbox and engine out with them - to no prevale!
After doing this and getting p1ss wet through in the meantime i decide to accept defeat, call a mate and get a tow home.
Tommorow i'm going to check all the usuall suspects fuel, spark and immobiliser aswell as fuses and disconnect the stereo (just in case).
Next Steps
So i guess what i am after is to see if anyone has had this before?
or
If anyone has any ideas what it could be?
Thanks
Craig

Sounds like it could be a few things, the clue i think is the radio hissing, maybe its just blown a fuse, or maybe the voltage regulator has gone giving spikes in the voltage.
My first port of call would be fuses, if one has gone, work out what it powers.
