quite possibly.. if they haven't been replaced already then they are long overdue a change.. whcih is difficult to be sure if you haven't owned it long mind.

Make sure the spark plugs are OK, I had an issue with a sort of miss with the engine. Tried everything but turned out the garage had either fitted the wrong kind or gapped them wrong at the last service.

Could be a MAF (Mass Air Flow) problem. Faulty coil packs tend to cause problems on boost rather than at lower revs.

so theres no point in getting coil packs just yet then mate?

the thing is i have a K & N INDUCTION KIT fitted....does that mean it could still be the MAF?

James, that thread was more to do with changing from Optimax to V-Power than the petrol you're using, so could be a different issue. Help anyone ?

I could be wrong, but I'm sure that I heard somewhere that the oil used in the K & N type filters wrecks the MAF.

Anyone know anything about this ?

ive been told that if it was coil packs i needed then the probs would occur at high revs and on boost (is that right yeah?), however mine only does it intermitantly and at around 3,000rpm. maybe gona start with a new MAF.....

Then I agree it is unlikely to be a coil pack problem..
