Default Gauges

Bought some gauges from eBay and finally tried to have them fitted today.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Subaru-Impreza...QQcmdZViewItem

But there are some parts missing

1) Adapter for the oil temp gauge so that it can be plumbed in (where the sump plug goes?)

2) Adapter, pipe and t-piece for the oil pressure gauge so that it can be plumbed in and the "can" held away from the engine block as it's too big to fit directly.

Does anyone know what I need to buy?

Not sure what adaptors are needed but for the oil temp, you are best off plumbing this into the blanking bung above cylinder number 3.

Hope that helps.

Try here:

http://www.gaugeplace.com/

In the shop under installation accessories page 2 is both adaptors you need. one for oil temp and one for the pressure. I bought my kit of Nick here and it included the fitting kit.

I'd tell you how much I paid, but you'd cry

try LMA motorsport. They do the fittings that you need. Cannot remember the part numbers but if you say what its for and that is for a subaru they know what you need. The goods are cheap and are made to order (usually on the same day - I got both my items ordered seperately on the next day)

They are the ones in the gauge place link I've put in the previous thread if that helps.

Remote tee piece adaptor LMA095...........oil pressure (Screwed into the remaining half of the om px sensor adpt)

LMA067............................................ ...oil temp

The oil temp adaptor i have listed is the one that fits over number three cylinder. Not a fan of the sandwich plates at all myself although i have to agree it's the easier option when it comes to fitting the thing.

Sensor and associated wire could be prone to damage stuck under the car.

Place the sensor over #3 cylinder it's said to be the hottest part of the engine. So for me this is the spot for the temp sensor. Fiddly but not difficult.
Remove the om 8mm allen drive bung. Replace bung with LMA 067.

LeMans Motorsport supplied the parts for me. Very good service.

That's what the gauge place supplies. I just not looking forward to doing the oil pressure switch, I can see the alternator coming off

Like you say the oil temp should be a piece of cake, just need an allen socket and a long extension bar to get the old one off and remember the ptfe tape to make sure it doesn't leak.
