Default Is it just the cambelt that needs changing ?

Since i own an import, thought id do the cambelt before i delimit it,well, gonna do it anyway, anyhoo,is it just the belt that needs changing or do the tensioners or anything else need doing at the same time as a precaution,or are these all fine to leave alone and just do the belt alone ?

Belt is £65 alone so far.

found a performance place in bristol that do the job for £140,not bad really.....

cheers.......

9 times out of ten the tensioner is fine...
at £95 quid a pop, I'd be changing it only if it was leaking.

Had my cambelt changed at API a few months back,no tensioner changed at that time so would think its only done when they are defective, might be a precautionary measure to do it while the belts and covers are off,but not always needed

check the idler pulleys, spin em by hand and listen, if there noisey they might need changing. or if they feel like the bearings have gone.

GGR sell the belt alone for £40 plus p&p. I never changed the tensioner but i spose it depends on condition.
