Have a read through the Newage Modification Articles HERE as it may answer a number of other questions and also give some other information.

But in essence....

Performance Panel Filter
Uprated Actuator
3 Port Boost Solenoid
3" de cat exhaust
Remap
Fuel Pump (if one already on car is not man enough)

As Gordon Ramsey says "Done!"

I acheived a tad under 370bhp and 350lbft with the above mods on straight Optimax, running decent boost.

Regards,
Shaun.

The standard actuator is too soft and found it did not hold the higher boost up the later stages of mid and top end rev range (you can try jacking the duty cycle really high, but even that does not have the same effect as an actuator with a higher "crack" pressure for sustained boost). If you want to hold the boost, you will need an uprated actuator.

what is the actuator cracking pressure on your uprated one now?

IIRC your running around 1.7bar peak is that right?

I can't remember..... I think it was about 1.2bar.

Max peak is just under 1.8bar (weather dependant) and holds 1.6ish in the mid range to 1.3 at the red line (if I remember correctly on this turbo). 1bar at 2500rpm ish and full hoof at 3100rpm ish in 6th.

DrEam,
For information the above info (directly above) is not on the standard turbo though. (flaming edited again lol) But the power figures I quoted initially are.

hell yeah!

similar to the new T25 all being well, so about 410 would be nice, it certainly feels a lot nicer even now. Im certainly going to be giving it every chance anyway, a 10% meth mix to get some decent advance out of the engine, as my current map was deliberately very flat for the initial use with nitrous. Which i now no longer have, so can run much more now

gearbox shredder hopefully

sorry ~Dream~, didnt mean to hijack!

Neil,

DrEaM,
350bhp is possible on the standard actuator (if it's a good 'un). Standard plugs, even now.

I cant remember what I have

You should get close to Spec's car with the standard turbo. His one will be a little bit higher that you should expect as the C's have a better inlet tract and a roller bearing core to the turbo.

Its still damn nice though.

Not sure how far you can take them though....

You could get 600+bhp from a twin scroll if you wanted.
