Unhappy Speedo Cable?

Hey there, my first post on the site so hopefully someone can help!!!

I bought my Impreza about a month ago and since then there's been a weird clicking sound behind the dials. When driving along yesterday the speedo suddenly stopped working and the CEL came on. Now would this be the cable gone or the KPH>MPH converter? Also how do i unclip the cable?

Thanx
Wayne

Converter is near the gearbox. So i would think you have a cable failure. You'll need to remove the clock set. The cable just pops into the clock set drive at the rear and held in by a clip over the top iirc. Not difficult to get it in and out.
