Default alarm or not

hi

am trying to locate my alarm ... have found a couple of boxes under the carpet under the drivers seat ... could this be it ???

its a 95 wrx

one might be ur ecu have you tried under dash near the steering wheel

thought i read somewere that the ecu was front passenger foot well ????

The boxes you can see under your seat are infact air vents to warm up or cool down rear passengers feet

My alarm box is under the drivers dash!

ECU is in the passenger footwell

sorry phil dont know any more found these when i was wireing up my folding mirrors if you get youself a manual on cd off fleabay about £3.00 theirs a wireing diagram for keyless entry and alarms on their if i can take copie off cd later ill post it on here for you

Have a look under the bonnet and trace the wires from the siren

if there's more than 6 wires coming from it, thats the actual alarm, if under 6 then just trace back to the control box

all depends on whether or not it was a factory fit item - I've been an installer for years and most after market installers (myself included) usually fit the "control box" on impreza's behind the glovebox tucked way up under the dash, the only place where there's any room!!
