Mine was much louder after I fitted a H&S downpipe.

As for performance my car made 320 on the rolling road the next day and that and a 3" exhaust were the only mods on it.

Had one of these fitted recently but havent had it mapped yet (makes a huge difference if you do).

Pulls harder, turbo spools up quicker sounds nicer, what more do you need!

Im tempted to get one for my UK classic but just thinking about MOT time. Wil it definitely fail with no cats on as I already have a decat centre pipe? Does it seem genuinely quicker with the decat downpipe?
Sorry for the hijack :-)

It'll feel quicker mate, as turbo spools quicker from lower RPM. The Cat definately restricts power, but it's difficult to put a figure on it. I would say, it was the best money I've spent on my car. Got a full H + S system on my RB5, my Legacy Turbo and the misses Legacy Turbo. I thought it was the law to have one

Hope this helps, Phill

PS It will fail the MOT without the CAT however so will need to be changed over for the test

I've just recently fitted a 3" H&S de-cat downpipe to my UK Turbo - already decatted the centre. What a difference!!! Spools up much quicker and pulls much much haerder. The exhaust note is a lot deeper now too - sounds and goes superb. Get one fitted asap
