Smile Warning for others.....

When fitting a oil presure sender on a remote braided hose fitting, make sure you use plenty of ptfe tape unlike me.

I started my engine last night after fitting it (but not securing the sender in its final resting place) and thought my oil presure was reading a bit low (very low) so I had a look at the engine and couldnt see anything wrong initially but noticed a black film on the engine. As I went to touch the film to see what it was, I realised it wasnt on the engine but was a jet of oil spraying out across the engine. Quickly stopped the engine and cleaned the engine up and used plenty of ptfe tape this time and now it doesnt leak.

Moral of the story

If fitting a remote sender, make sure you are not parked side by side next to another car!
