Hi all Im new to the scooby scene and am after some advice is the check engine light supposed to come on when the ignition is turned and go out once the engine is started? how can you tell if you have piston slap or big end problems is the only way from cold start cheers all Carl

 

Yes to the CEL question not sure on other questions

 

possibly piston slap if its a classic some of them were prone to it just let it warm up before applying a lot of boost and it should be ok
