fuel lab fuel pressure regulator

Good question. I wouldn't mind a walkthrough on how to swap the standard regulator for an aftermarket one - or just an overview of the fuel system. Without a proper look at it, I can see the fuel filter and just about see the two injector rails, with a regulator on the offside, but that's about it. Anyone got a picture or diagram so I can get my head round how to replace the regulator?

I've just half worked it out on my own, trying to work out the fittings i need now. I think there's a lot of this stuff in the projects forum if you look hard enough, but it takes a bit of tracking down.

Thanks for the diagram. Any alternative locations for the regulator if that corner up by the fuel filter is full up (I've got some of the aircon system and an alarm siren in there)?

Yeah, anywhere you like really.
I have mine on the bulkhead behind the position shown in the diagram. Just made a little bracket and used rubber washers to stop any humming or noises getting into the cab.

Aha yes that's where my alarm siren is. But that can be moved fairly easily. I see you've got a 90 degree hose end. I was thinking about that myself, as it's fairly unlikely that the hose will be coming in straight into the side port. Was there any problem with the return hose from the bottom port, or did it bend OK without any need for an elbow?

Why have the strees when you can just pay someone

LOL why pay someone when I can waste my entire weekend doing it and come out of it with skinned knuckles, a splitting headache and a hunched back? ACtually, it's not just that I'm mean and hate paying people to do jobs I can do myself, but I enjoy doing things that I've never done before.
