Boost solenoid clicking

Default Boost solenoid clicking

Just had my car remapped today and the boost solenoid seems to be clicking its nuts off on idle, never noticed it before, anyone got any ideas, its a 98 type-r ?

My understanding is that it's when they don't click that you have a problem.

the solenoid should'nt click when idleing it starts to click as the throttle is opened

Emmmm, they do tick all be it quitely on idle.

Yea it seems to have become a lot quieter now on idle
and it stops when you raise the engine revs, i am assuming
this is normal.

Robin, doubt you'll really notice the ticking when at higher idle it's just generally to noisey. If the boost solenoid plays up you'll soon know about it and seeing as you have just had the car remapped and all was well then then don't worry about it.

lol, my ol two port used to tick its heart out on idle!

The 3 port seems a lot quieter though.
