Default Uh-oh Spaghetti-O!

I'd appreciate it if someone could put my mind at rest...or ruin my night/week/month.

Whilst attempting (car's still in bits) to change the turbo inlet pipe - a water hose broke loose as I lifted off the inlet manifold and poured water into the inlet on the block - i.e. where the valves are. Now....the water didn't seem to go anywhere, rather just filled the holes as if the valves were closed. I managed to soak up the water using kitchen roll, and it now looks dry.

So.....have I caused any damage, or will I likely be ok?

P.s. Yes I know, what a ****.

P.p.s. Why is the turbo inlet such a monster of a job to change?!

The best way to ensure no damage is doneis, remove the spark plugs, and turn the engine over quite a bit, this will effectively pump the water through the engine, i would suggest doing this with the inlet back on though, then refit the plugs and run it.....

Thanks Ron - feel a bit better now. Will try what you've suggested if I ever get it back together. I had to give up tonight due to lack of light so hopefully things will look more positive in the morning.
