Question re mapping ecu

got my 95 classic a few weeks ago and i live in shetland and we only have 95 ron fuel so im using that + octane booster but it isnt running aswell as it did on super unleaded (which i got in aberdeen before going on the boat to shetland) so can i get the ecu re mapped to run on 95 ron? what bhp will i lose? and can i just send the ecu away on its own or does the whole car have to go + where is the best place to get it done if it can be done?

few options but your best bet is to get a apexi power fc fitted and mapped. It can be mapped for your 95 ron fuel, and it will still give you gains over the standard ecu. Do this in conjustion with a decat or sports downpipe and replacement filter and you should have a healthy improvement over standard

Just source and fit a UK ECU - that should solve your problem with 95RON fuel

Cheers

You could try these ESL. We are just in the process of a 'group buy' here I know it says remap for SUL but you could always email Andy at ESL and see if there is anything he could do for 95 ron.

funny enough, i have a UK 7D ecu for sale, PM me if you want it.
and no, the whole car doesnt need to go if u just want a basic map,but obviously,if the car has all sorts of mods then its best to take car as well so it can be mapped accordingly.

cheers.......

Sorry Mark

You plug the board straight into a UK ECU, takes 10 minutes max to get the footplate and ECU lid off. A socket needs to be soldered into most import ECUs which you should only attempt if you can already solder. I can turn one around in day if its posted to me.

Just to be clear, its an import model that you want to detune to 95RON? I can do it, but best email me at service@enduringsolutions.com to discuss detailed requirements.

Cheers

Did you not get a CEL illumination when using the 7D ROM on an import Rig or did you use a trick to get round it?
