Tappets ?
Right .. im sorry this isnt regarding my WRX, its my wifes Audi Cabriolet ( i think its an Audi 90 ? ) .. Anyways, there seems to be a tapping or knocking thats only really noticed at low revs or a standstill ?.. does anyone know if these Audi's have hydraulic tappets or none adjustable ones ?.. or even if it could be something else ?
Im a novice under the bonnet .. i just know how to drive them well.. any help would be appreiciated greatly !!

Its very hard to hear det with the naked ear, if its missing, have you tried looking at the plugs? R they fouled or are the gaps right? Did the cap have any cracks or discolouration? or maybe check the leads. The early audis do suffer with oil feed problems to the hydrolic bukets, so maybe an engine flush and oil and filter change may help.
