Default URGENT HELP-MOT Emissions Failure

Just had the motor MOT'd, Failed on emissions by 0.06
Car is a 2002 WRX
I run a decat down pipe and the rest of the system is standard apart from a TSL back box. Flew through the MOT last year, so cant see whats wrong.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem would be really appreciated.

Put the cat back on? Don't want to sound funny but MOT regs are only ever going to get stricter. Why not just get a sports catted downpipe and flog your decat pipe while you can still get some money for it? They'll be about as much use as a chocolate teapot in five years time. IMHO

1. Find a friendlier MOT tester
2. Give the car a really good blast before the emissions test and get it straight on the machine when you get in the testing station

If you only have a centre cat then, its going to need to be a hot as it can be in order for you to pass...

As above. Which of the two tests did it fail - natural idle or fast (3000rpm) The natural idle may allow the cat to cool. Always get the station to do the emissions test as the first task.
