Anybody know if the fuel pump on a MY96 runs at two speeds. i.e. faster at full throttle...??? like some other jap motors...???

Having a prob where one minute fuelling is fine and next time you give it large its dropping really lean.

No it doesn't.

Most likely the pump is knackered (really common, even after only 3 years or so).
