Default Standard oil pressure (bar)?

What are the 'normal' max and min oil pressure readings for a newage (bugeye) wrx?

If possible, max and min for cold start and warm running?

Thanks in advance.

Trap

Just had to go somewhere in my MY02 Bygeye WRX and driving around it's 6.6 bar, upper rev limit it's nudging 8 bar and hot idle about 3.2 bar.

I'd say between 3 and 8 bar then for most situations

Hope this helps

Cheers midlife, just been out in mine and it's running 6.5-6.6bar most of the time too. (Measured using PSi3 Data Monitor).

Nice to know it's running 'normal'

Trap

Had another drive home from work and for most of the time it's 6.5 bar apart from at idle and overtaking. Looks like the Bugeye oil pump is one of Subaru's better efforts !!! LOL

Hi Kev - very good question.

When I fitted the PSi3 a couple of months back I noticed the oil temp was 1 degree and the oil pressure was 6.5bar. Every time I've flicked through the different screens they've both always read the same so I assumed they were default values for cars without the sensors fitted. However the other day I noticed it read 6.6bar so I moved it to the page I normally have displayed and have found that it changes often and is obviously displaying the correct pressure (thanks midlife ).

I can only assume that the previous owner must've had gauges fitted and taken them out before selling.
