Default Whirl whirl

Hi, got a strange rotating whirling noise (does that make sense) only when i turn right coming from the left whell i think.

My friend thinks it may be something to do with the powersteering any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Does it happen only when moving?
On full lock, or throughout the range?

Default noise

Sounds like a wheel bearing to me m8, weight transfers to the other side when cornering.

Hi , thanks for the replies.

In answer to the full lock question ....No it only makes a noise under cornering even very very slow corning. As soon as the wheels are turned to the right the noise appears.

It seems to make a knocking noise as if the nuts are loose (their not) at slow speed and then goes in to this whirl rotating noise at speed.

Havent checked the fluid level of the power steering yet will do and report back.

Thanks

Hmm, if it only makes a noise when moving then that probably rules out your power steering. Could be wheel bearings, but my money would be on an outer CV joint. If so, you should be able to feel it through the steering wheel a little too...
