Exedy Uprated Organic Clutch Noise in reverse and then smell :(
Hi
I have got an Exedy Uprated Organic Clutch and its fine going forwards but when I reverse slowly I hear a whirling noise.. When I start to go forwards I get the whirl noise again.. smell some clutch burn and then its goes back to normal.
I never get this when im just going forwards or pulling away/driving in slow traffic
Any Idea at all what might causing this?

I cant remember exactly what the problem was but... I know there was a known fault with these.
Before I got my 2002 STi clutch replaced I was told by a couple of people to be careful with my choice of organic clutch.
I'm not sure where your located but GRD on the surrey scoobies board will know all about it.
In advance, if I am wrong about the brand then I stand corrected but I am sure it was Exedy
