Default Identify my squeak!

Yup, a "I've got a random squeak" thread, bet cha all love these...

MY95 JDM WRX wagon with no engine mods. Had a full change of belts and stuff about two months ago. No mods to the engine or anything like that. Symptoms are a kind of really annoying chattering squealing noise when I come off the throttle and am just trundling along. Not especially loud but since it's been warm and I've been driving round with the window open I've really noticed it. As soon as I accelerate again the noise fades. Seems to lessen as the engine warms up but it's still there and it is audible with the windows up too. I'm guessing it's belt related somewhere along the line but beyond that it's speculation.

I guess I could just get a louder exhaust but it's annoying me and I want to get it sorted. If it's a simple case of something needing lubricating or adjusting then I'll be happy.

Thanking y'all in anticpation...

Oh I think that's rattling already! I could be wrong but it sounds more like a rotational squeak rather than a resonance squeak, if that makes sense.

I'll have a poke around later on and see if anything is loose. I did wonder if it was one of the new belts perhaps?
