diagnostics CEL
hi,
ive serch threads for the CEL diagnostics, and got how to and where the leads r, BUT on my MY03 wrx i cant find the black connectors(supposedly on the left of steering colum) i can find 1 white and 1 black(both with about 4/5 metal connectors inside) and 2 green(with 2 metal connectors inside) on the righthand side. so am i looking in the right place or do i need to remove part of the surround to find them thanks.
plus the car seem to run fine(i havent put my foot down though just incase)

An 03 car cant be checked by joining the connectors under the dash,Infact i dont even know if theres any fitted. The only way to check is using the proper equipment via the obd socket

I had a similar problem with the CEL coming on (bugeye) and not having access to the actual fault codes. I took it to a main dealer and was quoted £25 for a diag check. In the end the guy didn't charge me so I left happy.
However, it was a 25 mile round trip which was hassle at the time so I've invested in a SECS unit - well worth it IMO.
