Default Post Trackday trauma.

Hi
Just done a track day and appart from it being great I've noticed a few problems with the car, any help would be appreciated.

1. Tapping/ticking noise coming from somewhere around the passenger side wheel. Hard to tell what it is from the drivers seat maybe a bearing????

2. This is the worst one. When coming on boost you can hear the car sucking in the air when the turbo would normally kick in. But nothing happens for a second or two, then it jerks forward as it comes on boost in one big go.???

Any one experienced any of this?

Thanks

Sounds like a bearing.

Trying looking at all your turbo to intercooler pipework you may have a leak or a hose worked loose?

Hi

I cant seem to find any reason for the turbo hesitation and its getting worse. car cut out earlier while idleing and kept losing power while driving along at around 30mph. I think its time to book it into a garage.

sounds like it could be the maf. Try disconnecting it with the engine running. Engine should cut out, if it doesnt then I would say the maf is broke.

Agree that it sounds like it may be a faulty maf - if a replacement doesn't cure it then I'd just get it to someone who know's what they are doing as soon as you can.

Cheers for the help lads, I've tried unpluging the MAF while the car is idleing and it cuts out. My question is does this indicate the MAF is working 100% or could it still be faulty just not completly bust.

Thanks

Sounds like MAF/Boost Solenoid.

Have you checked for fault codes?

No CEL light, cant be boost solenoid I'm running a Dawes device.

Will the normal method for finding the fault code work with an Apexi ECU and Commander unit installed, I dont think it will, but I'd be happy if someone tells me otherwise.

Thanks to all for helping.

Could be a split hose?

The test for the MAF above is not a 100% yes or no answer!
