264 bhp uk ??? how??
hi guys, when i bought my uk turbo 2000 my95 i was told it was running 264 bhp @ 0.9bar with a rr printout to prove.i got the printout with the car and it is correct but how can this be as the only mods are:-
glas flowed scoobysport downpipe
decat centre
h&s backbox
panel filter
blitz bov
samco turbo hoses
i just had the ecu out to check if it was the right one 7d??? is that correct,no chip inside either.
if this figure is correct and i was to fit a scoobyecu chip would it take my scoob upto around 300bhp??
it does certainly run as well as a 260bhp car?? have no 4x4 rr centre near me to check it either. what ya think???

I might be wrong but the car is 240bhp standard?
The extra 28 bhp could be for a number of reasons... either a very optamistic rolling road (was it a MAHA or DynoDynamics) or you have been very lucky and have an engine made from blue-printed parts - occassionally they use these at the end of production runs...

my95 2000 uk was 208bhp as standard, so the figures quoted above give an increase of 56bhp?
A full de-cat + panel filter will not give those gains, so something else like a chip has been added or the rolling road was fubbered!!

0.9 Bar is not standard Boost, check under the bonnet for a bleed valve/ Dawes device, is it still runing 0.9, do you have a boost gauge in at the moment ?
Also, some people put octane booster in when going for a RR to give a high BHP figure, bragging rights and all that

I doubt that figure.
Is the a boost curve on the RR plot. If so what was it reading.
It may of had a bleed valve or a dawes fitted during the rolling road run, which was removed when sold.
that figure stacks up with running about 1 bar which is just about achieveable via a bleed valve etc..and still be just under the standard ECU fuel cut level.
A few years back I got about 246BHP (I think, was a long time ago) running just under 1 bar and no decat.

Well 0.9bar isn't standard, as stated above.
Standard boost is 11.47psi which is 0.79bar.
I would still guess it had a Dawes valve fitted at the time.
Perhaps the Corbeau seats make the difference.... I can see the Corbeau factory accross the road from here and every car that comes out of there seems to shift......
