Should fit, the wrx will be an alloy bonnet though, the 97 one won't.
Try a Subaru breakers, there are a few but I don't know them, sorry.

Try Grade A near Manchester. I've never used them but I've heard good things about them.

John,

I have a 93 WRX that i have just facelifted (97 bonnet and headlights with a 99 grill). It took about 25 minites to fit the new parts, very easy! Its the best mod i've done to the car and makes it look far more agressive. Definately worth every penny.

The only down side is that the intercooler doesnt get a directed air flow (it's located at an angle compared to the later cars so you have to remove the plastic duct attached to the underside of the bonnet). It doesn't seem to have slowed it down any and the up side is i can hear the turbo whistle more and my Bailey's dump value too.

I got my parts from Moe (TopCat) who advertised them on this BBS, keep your eyes peeled for similar .

Cheers,

Tony.

Barge,

It cost about £370 for the parts (already painted in correct colour). But after selling my old parts the cost to me was only about £100.

Thanks tone i will be looking out for a new bonnet, lights and grill.

If you change the intercooler for the later type, will that not cure the airflow problem?

To change the intercooler for a later one you need need to change the inlet manifold, water rail, intercooler, inlet pipework, throttle body and TPS. Some re-working of the fuel purge, water and breather pipework is also required, but this is not difficult. You can use the early water header tank, but a later one is a much better fit. The power steering pump also needs some work, as the return will foul the new inlet pipe. Either change the pump for a later one, or relocate the return into a different part of the reservoir.

Not only do you have a turbo with better spool up, you also have a straighter inlet port feed, and a bigger intercooler. All of which will give a nice boost to your torque figures.
