Get it done on your insurance. Mine only cost the £50 windscreen excess, fitted in under an hour, on my drive.

Job done

check with your insurer but I have replaced my screen every January for the last two years (just before MOT) on the insurance. Different insurers £50 and £60 excees.. doesn't effect NCB unless you do more than 2screens I believe.. They usually use AutoGlass as they do it cheap to Insurers..

Mine's peppered with tiny 'pin-hole' stone chips all over and got a couple of more serious ones on the passenger side. It's not an MOT failure but difficult to see well through in direct sunlight - do the insurance actually check the condition of the screen previously or would they only replace it if say, a stone came flying up and gave the screen a proper big crack or hole?

No the Ins co doesn't check, you don't really even need to tell them, just book it in with Autoglass, RAC or whoever & they send the ins co the bill...Job done.

Thumbs down top tint

dabow, in case you didn't know the classic uses the same screen as the (old) Legacy, so if you order the Legacy top tint screen it will fit perfectly
