how do you remove the alternator pulley?

Default how do you remove the alternator pulley?

as above on a 93 wrx. ive just fitted an alloy crank pulley but cant remove the alternator nut. how did you hold your pulley still to get the nut off?

Hi.
I removed the alternator and held the pully in a vice. The pully nut then came undone easy.

didnt that buckle the pulley? how did you go about tightening it back up again?

Try something like a belt style oil filter wrench. You probably still won't get enough grip, but worth a try..?

yes thats a good idea. ive only got a bike chain style one tho. going to try the air gun tomorrow 1st then go from there
