I have a prova chip in mine which has an aggresive map, advance on ignition timing and high boost. Mine has WRX PV20-2. Dont know exactly what it means but have another look on the chip to see if anything is written on the extra board. One of the resistors would have been cut so that the ECU reads from the chip and not the main board.

The code sounds like a Prova chip. Probably running about 16psi and quite advanced timing.
Prova are one of the better Jap suppliers. Their map has certainly had more effort put into it. However, it's still a little livley for UK fuel IMHO.

The car was fitted with a tdo4 turbo when i bought it and with it being a saloon iv just put a td05 on as im under the impression thats the right turbo for the car. could this mess the map up??

Is in the area indicated below (looks like a resistor but is infact a zero ohm link)

If the additional board with the Eproms has a map for the TD04 - the addition of the TD05 will cause boost issues with the std boost control as the duty cycle map etc will be set for the TD04

Cheers
