totaly lost with my WRX :(

Default totaly lost with my WRX :(

Hi all, Im really getting lost with my wrx, can someone please help?

its a 1994 import and im having two main problems...

1. its forever blowing pips off the fmic, ive now fitted super beafy clips to all the pipes and then tonight it blew the pipe of the acuator and boosted to 24 psi !!!!!!!!!! what the *&^£ can i do with this car to sort it.

2. i just got a scooby chip, but ive been told i shouldnt fit it because i have a z4 ecu and its already better??? is this right?

plz plz plz advice

Should the car be boosting at 24 psi (i.e. its heavilly modified)??? Or is your actuator and/or boost solinoid screwed?

Sorry to hijack Shane. Just wondered what the standard pressure should be on a WRX?

mine usually boosts to 14 psi

my guess is your breathers have coated the intercooler pipes with a film of oil. You need to clean the pipes and silicone joiners to get all the oil residue off, then put together with hairspray or laquer if you're still having problems, which lubricates the assembly, but then keeps them well secure once dry.

Just wondered what the standard pressure should be on a WRX?
The std boost is around ~11.47psig (0.79bar)
