Default Changing Spark plugs

Is it possible without a lot of hard work. There doesnt seem to be much room on one side of the engine? Im planning on doing it on the driveway tommorow but if its gonna take engine mounts and stuff i need to borrow my m8's workshop.

Very easy to do,You need to remove the washer bottle on the n/s and the air box on the o/s.Other than that just some patients and i would suggest using 3/8 drive tools.

yes a narrow headed ratchet and the correct length socket extension. its not having the small enough tools that usually makes it awkward.

Yep, I've done them on my 01MY car no problem.
Access is a little tight but it's not a problem if you have a good selection of tools.

Yea ive got loads of tools. I just dont like getting half way through a job and finding out i needed the Workshop as i will be working on the driveway. Thought id ask, thanks Guys.

Just been taking another look at the spark plugs on my car. The plugs and leads dont look like anything ive ever seen. Is this normal. Ive worked UK models with the coil pack on the top of the engine and "normal" plug leads. What is on my car?

Each plug has it's own coil, the leads you are seeing are the power to the coil pack, worth pulling the rubbers off the ends and checking for hairline cracks at the same time.

TY but the plugs are standard i hope i already bought replacements....Ouch

Yes plugs are standard. Can be a bit fiddly getting the coil packs back in, make sure to line them up properly. When they are in the right place they slide in easily but get the angle wrong then they just dont go on.

Also, when using your plug socket you mind find it best to remove the rubber sleeve inside it as otherwise the whole socket gets left behind.

i always take the rubber from the sockets. TY. They get in the way whatever the engine type. I loosen then pick em out with my fingers! LOL
