Apexi pfc query
Been having a issue with over fueling and bad running on my car. It seems the problem has led to the water temp sender. The commander is reading – 42c and is 4.88v, but when I disconnect the water temp sender it stays the same and does not show a fault. Any ideas why it’s not showing any change when I disconnect it? All other senders show a fault when pulled.
Thanks
Neil

Well if there's no change whether the senders in the circuit or not, you've got a short somewhere. It's either grounding somewhere or it's shorted to a high voltage somewhere.

I run an Apexi in a UK and the Air Temp reads 4.88V and the UK car's don't have one.
I expect you have a fault with the sender as the ECU will be supplying the 5V to the sender then reading the voltage. The sender will change the potential to ground dependant on the Water Temp, hence change the voltage.
If the sendor is at fault the potential probably isn't changing hence it's the same as not having it connected.

It will overfuel considerably if you've just put a regular UK maf sensor in (in place of what was in there), probably to the order of around 25%.

Which would make sense seen as I need to reduce the injectors to 30% down from 54% to get it to run. I thought it was the same maf that’s was there before uk95 Grrr. Can I adjust the commander to correct this Paul?

Cool that would be great if you could check, I am trying to get it sorted for Wednesday as it’s hopefully getting mapped. I did try reducing the airflow a little but only on the number one setting which was .62volt it was set at 112% and dropped it down to 100% but little difference. I will have a go at the others tomorrow its dark now...

Andy you have email regarding the mapping.
Paul did try and adjust the air flow a little and seems a bit better, but would be great if you have any figures regarding that. It’s still not drivable
Cheers
