I'm thinking of going for one of Pulse Extraction Exhaust systems . Anybody got an experience of them ? Are they good ? Noise Level , trackday friendly ?

Seem to recal someone having one about 2 years ago and it rattled, but different springs cured it on the slip joints.
In the fleah it looks a very high quality item. I would be very interested as to how you get on with it.
Is it a 2.5'' or 3''?

Be a shame to wrap it!

Just a thought:

The pipes are straight which is great, but do they reduce ground clearance?
If straight works then why does everyone else spend so much effort putting gentle bends in theirs ?
Must be for the clearance?

Good point Graham about the ground clearance , I'll ask about it .

According to tsl website it's 3" with a 4" tail pipe , think they might do a different backbox with a smaller exit if you want .

Did a search and couldn't find much apart from the thread re the springs , seem to get sorted .

One supplier has recommended getting a decat up pipe at the same time , thoughts anyone ?

Should say I'm looking at this system as it's been recommended as a 3" system that is suitable for trackdays without having to use a bung . I was looking at magnex but can't get it with a sports cat . Any thoughts on other suitable systems .

Cheers

Hmmm:
I would use the cat in there if it is a 100 cell type (free flowing).

This is a very good system I think. Wonder if a Group Buy would kill the cost substantially?
I hill climb my Sti v3 @ about 380bhp so need a 3'' system that is quiet.
Been looking hard at Sports cat d/p etc in 3'' but they are all custom build.

If the pulse design is right, this gives the edge over the mass China welded stuff available today.

The TSL site is a bit light on tech stuff, but if the dp has a 100 cell cat, then imho forget the de cat.

Please keep in touch if you decide to do it.
Graham.
