help with needle

Default help with needle

i was just fitting my new white dials on my classic reading the instructions for a change it said be careful removing the backing from behind the fuel gauge as u can't take it off so i had my snips trying to trim around it when i managed to snap the needle off what shall i do now, can i get a new bit for it or is it of to scrap yard or is there away around it need to know as soon as poss cause my dash is in bits and i need the car for thursday to go to power station

Get a needle from the scrappy, and I'm sure it will drive fine without it?

not the actual needle that i snpped its the bit of metal that goes in to the bk to make it work half of it is in the bk of the needle and half is left stuck in the mechanics in the dash
i new diy would be a bad idea
