The '94 WRX I recently purchased has 3 centrally mounted dial-type gauges - all from a company called 'laMco' - and I can't find any info on the web about them.
The first gauge is labelled 'turbo' and is calibrated on the left from '76' to '0' in cm/hg. The needle usually sits at '60' and decreases on acceleration. On the right it is in kg/cm squared - calibrated from '0' - '0.5' - '1.0'.
The central gauge is labelled 'volt' and is calibrated '0' - '10' - '12' - '14' - '16'. The needle usually sits on '15'.
The right hand gauge is labelled 'temp' in degrees C, calibrated '-20' '-10' '0' '20' '40' '50'. The needle ranges from '20' to '45' - (?)irrespective of engine speed or distance travelled.
Any idea what they are measuring - and what would be a 'normal' reading?
thanx for any assist ......

Lamco make the gauges for the dash in a pre-01 Scoob.
First one is turbo boost and vacuum. Vacuum measured in centimetres of mercury (1 bar = 76 cm/Hg) and boost in bars. The gauge should go into the right-hand area under hard acceleration and peak around 1.0 bar.
Second one is a voltmeter. Should read around 13.8V (alternator) with the engine running and 12V (battery) without.
Last one sounds like either external air temperature or intercooler temperature.

Not to sure about the display, but when I traced the wire back to the engine it went into what looked like an oilway on the block.
I suppose the oil temp is relative ie dependent on where you take the reading from.
If it was taken from right next to a turbo then yes it would be very hot if it was taken from next to an oil cooler it would be a lot lower. So long a you keep an eye on it and it doesn't go off the scale it doesnt matter.
Hope this helps
