Default timing belts

at the moment im very tight on cash as i crashed my car. so ive been looking at two belts. i now most will say just go for the original subaru one. but ive been looking at:

dayco.
gates.

which of these belts are good. dayco is the cheaper, but its so called a good belt/company. then saying that gates are nown to.

which is best to fit.

I use Dayco.. just go another one from Mark @ Lateral Performance..

As I understand it there are only two main cambelt manufacturers in the world and you mentioned them both.. the OE is either dayco or gates with Subaru packaging..

some one did say something like this, & that the subaru one is really the same as one of these. but is the dayco one as good as the gates one. as the dayco one will cost me less. £30 quid less. thanks for that
