I have just changed my wrx for a 95 type ra, the problem is it feels like there is play in the steering,It handles well with no understeer but when turning into a bend the steering wheel feels very light as though it's not turning the wheel(as if something is giving on the steering) but when sat on the drive and turn the wheel it's fine. Its just had 2 track rod ends and everything was checked for movement but was fine, then i had it four wheel aligned but it still feels terrible compared to standard wrx. the ra has standard shocks and springs with whiteline rear anti rollbar + front and rear drop links with 40 profile potenza's, has anybody had similiar problems??????

Check for play in the universal joint in the steering column in the engine bay. Mine was originally the cause of the play on the car and took 2 minutes to fix.

Need a new rack now though.
