my engine is flooding what could cause this
been havin trouble startin my subaru wrx 93 as all the airfilter pipes ent propley hooked up and few bits en bobs missing but got it started today after i messed round with the coil packs but left it runing for 3 minutes then it cut out and wouldnt start again so cheked the plugs and they was coverd in petrol so cleaned them up put them back in it fired up then died again but there is a very strong smell of petrol what could be coursin it to flood???any ideas

When my girlfriend first started driving mine she used to pump the accelerater as she started it, this sometimes caused it to flood.
Best to always start from cold without touching it.
