Question

The interior of my P1 marks very easily - we have somehow managed to get a couple of very obvious scratches on the lid of the centre console storage bid (above the transmission tunnel, behind the handbrake). Are scratches easy to remove or so I need a new cover? Is this cover unique to the P1 or more generic (I'd hope generic, i.e. surely they didn't design that thing specially!). Any idea on cost?

cheers

Gordo,

All MY99/00s have the same storage bin. I got mine replaced under warranty here in Greece and they told me they go for around 30 or 50.00 GBP, can't remember exactly, but no more than 50. The whole thing comes as a kit including the air vents. For replacing instructions I'll post a link to a thread on this, from last week, soon.

Wrexy.

I don't think you two are talking about the same thing. Gordo is referring to the storage bin behind the handbrake -- the one that's got a cupholder in. Wrexy is talking about the sunglasses holder thing on the top of the dash.

I've just been to your link, Wrexy, and you're right -- your post with the picture has gone missing (I remember it -- it had a big red arrow on it). I think you ought to post a bug report in the bug reports forum -- I don't like the idea of posts going missing.

Red face

Cheers Carl.

Doh, you are right m8. thanks for waking me up. Gordo is saying the centre console storage bin. I've rushed into it again.

Gordo I appologise. Please disregard my advice above. Carl is right, that advice is for the centre dash lid. Sorry m8. I don't know about the console bin.

Carl, I'll put a report in.

Cheers,

Wrexy.
