Default Apexi induction kit restrictive?

I've been running an Apexi power induction kit on my sti5 but have been told that they can be quiet restrictive over 400bhp.

As I hope to be making a bit more power than that could anyone comment if this is the case and if so what kit they would recommend (probably going MAP instead of MAF if that makes a difference)

Cheers

Well all filters get restrictive at some stage. I couldn't comment on the Apexi, but the best thing to do if you're looking for big power and are going to use an open induction cone, is just go on the K&N or Green websites; they have already calculated the airflow/power capability of the different sizes of cones that they do.

Although I have not actually tested one to its limit, my opinion is that the filter area and construction make it more suitable for under 400bhp use than over.

Just a (semi) educated guess you may say
