Default Scoobyworld Afterburner Vortex?

hi

need some advice, thinking of changing to a Afterburner Vortex BB, but want to know is it really loud with a full decat?? is it really bad on motorways ie. 80mph?? as i do lots of motorway.....anyone got a sound file with full decat???

Hi mate,

Just fitted one a couple of weeks ago and its really does enhance the flat-4 noise. Sounds great outside (no sound file though) and not too loud on the motorways either.

My Afterburner vortex, with full decat including up pipe is fooooking loud on the motorway!!!! Too loud IMO for everyday useage.
Thank god i`ve got a company car too

thank v5 man, will it be okay without the upipe?? or if i use a resonated center? also are you comming to the herts meet @ 12th?? may be i can listen to it?? ....lol

I might come to the Herts meet, but not 100% sure if im free yet. Hopefully though
The up pipe decat made all the difference IMO to the noise, completely changed the tone and loudness of it.

Had to remove my Vortex because it got to loud with a decat, It was alright when I had a 3 cats in place, but once I started to remove them, it was really loud.

had a full vortex decat for 2 yrs now and all was ok ish but recently fitted headers and omg it silly loud ?
but i went to hayward and scott in essex the company who make them and they sorted me with a cone plug in silencer thing which is great for everyday use

thanks for the reply guys, so will it be okay if its only got a decat downpie, deacat center with resonator, and the afterburner??? i really like the looks of it, or is there other jap style angle exit exhaust thats got less sound ???

hiya every1 apprecaite bit of advice on this got uk 98 impretza got 2 1/2inch bakbox at the mo,but bought a 3 inch hks decat.as funds am tight at the minute an cant wait,so having the decat fitted an a center pipe made to fit my back box would tht be ok also cars running standard bhp.Cheers.

ah... too many... just cant get the right noise.....tanabe lound on motorway, TSL group N too raspy(spelling)....ah.... want some thing with a angle exit but not lound... HKS silent hiper is too damm expesive...
