I cannot say I have detected a difference with a lightweight pulley on its own although some people say they can feel the difference.
If the pulley is profesionally made then there will be no balance issues.
Getting over 2kg of rotational mass off the crankshaft hgas to be a good thing IMHO.
Have a word with Steve Jordinson who does these pullys for not a lot of money.

Yeah, just bought crank pulley and alternator pulley for my classic scooby, oh and he supplied the new belts as well. Found him on Ebay. Nice chap and not expensive. Fitted them at the weekend, and I do notice an increase in responsiveness. Not massive but definitely there. I think the car pulls a little harder at high revs as well. He advised he was going to start doing them for the power steering pulley as well.
Think i'll try an ultralight flywheel next.

My View is that a lightweight crank pulley on its own will have little or no difference. I guess when done with other lightweight pulleys such as Power steering and alternator as well as a lightened flywheel the sum of all parts rule comes into play. I have all these done on mine and other scooby drivers that have been in mine have said that it certainly gets through the revs quicker and easier.

I doubt it will show any additional bhp on a dyno. The theory is that the engine revs quicker. I can't say I have noticed this but it does remove 2kg of rotating mass.
