Default P1 Prodrive remap no good ???!!!!

As a follow up to this thread
http://p1woc.co.uk/postnuke/index.ph...wtopic&t=10083
I have been having a problem with the car going into safe mode almost any time i hit full boost in high gear.
Spent about 3 hrs @ powerstation on the rollers, they checked just about everything, replicated the exact situation and got the same results. After a few hrs checking fuel pressure, checking for leaks and whatever else they check, they were stumped. From what they described to me, it is running to much ignition advance without dropping off as revs rise, u could see this on the torque curve where it was tailing off as soon u hit full boost, 34 degrees iirc. They thought that the car may have been remapped before, but i have no record of one and the car produced 278bhp on the original engine, which has made me sure it hasnt had a remap, although they said a remap would prob solve this.
So what the hell could be going on!!??
They have saved all the engine data from the many power runs, and are hopefully getting back to me wednesday with some solution.
Still gutted, Craig.

Powerstation do Ecutek so they shouldn't "think" the car has been re-mapped. They should know if it has or not!!!
Anyway due to, too many P1's popping anyway - use this as a good excuse to get it done

If you've only had the problem since PS re-built it then sit back and let them fix it for free

Anything I can think to suggest powerstation would have checked already so it cannot be anything simple like MAF or MAP sensor etc..

They deffo think its a map problem, which is really confusing me. Ill wait and see what info they come back with today.

They would have remapped it yesturday but it would have cost them a licence and they had to wait to speak to Rich first. Dont know what its gonna cost me though! Hope they come back with a decent solution for me, ive spent alot of money up there ( alot to me anyway ).

Owned my P1 5 months, had it working right for 3 weeks, cost me £4500 to keep it on the road for 5 months ( minus insurance and tax ) and im getting really pissed off with it. NEED A F ING SOLUTION. ( rant over )

Ill post any news from PS.
