If your gonna fit an upgraded fuel pump then you should get a remap.. To level out the amount of fuel....#

Asked about this myself recently, apparently the std reg is fine with the Walbro 255l. People usually uprate the fuel pump to prevent the std one from struggling after a remap. Scoobies run rich as standard and if I understand it correctly, it's your ECU that makes the requests of the fuel pump- its not the case that just cause you fit an uprated pump, it'll flow more fuel all the time.

Ask an expert though to be sure!
