classic/newage exhausts interchangeable?

Default classic/newage exhausts interchangeable?

as in the title. are the backboxes interchangeable on these cars, as ive heard some say the hangers are different, if so which ones are different and is it vital that all hangers are used mucho gracias for any replies.

I stand to be corrected, but I suspect that they are not. If you go somewhere like Scoobyworld there are seperate sections for the classic and new age exhausts.

The hanger half way down is spun 180 degrees from one model to another. It can be removed, turned around and rewelded easily though.

are you talking about the hanger half way down the center section? or the single one on backbox? can the zorst still be fitted securely without it? cheers

If you can wait until the weekend then I can get you an answer to this. I have a classic sti and a newage sti but am away from home until Friday. I seem to remember the centre sections are different, the later one having an extra box, but that's just from memory, there may be other differences. Standard exhausts.

The classic is in the For Sale section if you're interested. I need a car all the time so bought the newage before selling, so for the time being I have one of each.
