Question Upgrading STi03

At present my car has,

2.0L (UK)
Full de-Cat
Ported headers
Andy F Tek3
APS CAIK

It retains the cat in the up pipe as advised by Harvey until a new pipe is manufactured with ECU fix.

I want to achieve circa 400bhp and 400lb/ft, I know the turbo of choice is the TD05 20g or the 18g.

What other things should be taken into account as I don't want a domino effect as in if you do this you will have to do that sort of scenario.

Probably looking at injectors, fmic and warlbro fuel pump, might even need an sx reg aswell.
Best bet is to chat with Andy, he can help you far more then the majority on here.

I thought new age sti didn't have a cat in the up pipe?

Perhaps Harvey could elaborate, When the Headers were being done this is the info I was told, I personally wouldn't be able to tell a catted pipe from one without. Harvey did offer me a catless pipe but said it wouldn't run properly or the CEL would come on and I may have problems.

I'll mail this link to HS for him to peruse

Have you any TD05 18g's you don't want Andy?

Loads Alan As long as you have some money you don't want

If you are up this way anytime I have an 18G on my WRX now, test n try before you buy !!
In fact, its for sale shortly, buy it for your wife

It is currently running 370-380bhp on an Sti intercooler. Your std injectors will cope with this power.
To go over 400bhp gets expensive with fmic's, injectors, headers etc

Andy

I don't normally take IHI VF series turbos as exchange as they tend not to be reliable enough for selling to my customers (who generally are going for high boost/power levels) Having said that, they are a good stage 1 upgrade on a WRX or UK 2000 so I may reconsider.

ps, that last car you bought is going quite well now, he is almost catching me up !

I have seen it at Santa Pod a few times but almost might as well be nowhere.

Could you pm me with a figure then for a TD05 18/20 with a px on my vf35

Cheers

What does it drive like compared to ppp or a tek3?

I would like a bit more torque than 340, i'd like 380 if poss and I have been told the torque figure from the twin scroll would give be this.
