Yellow injector
I have a set of injectors from a phase 2 classic, I was lead to belive they were 440CC, I checked mine today and they are 500CC, My melon is now pretty twisted as I dont know what is correct, 440 or 500

I've just had a set of yellows fitted along with a remapping of my Power FC. Can't remember whether I got them off ebay or off of someone on here. Anyway I had them serviced, thought they were phase 1 440's but after cleaning and testing they turned out to flow 500 cc/min at the standard 3 bar (550cc at 3.5 bar!). My mapper told me that they could be Legacy yellows - apparently they look the same as standard Impreza yellows but are rated at 485 cc/min. Makes sense I suppose.

I don't know at what pressure injectors are rated but standard fuel pressure on an OE Subaru is something like 2.6 bar. As long as the injectors are flowing properly and all 4 injectors are flowing a similar amount to within a few percent then I cannot see it will make a lot of difference whether they flow 440ccs or 480ccs.

I have seen this on both phase one, & phase two injectors, although I've tested very few sets.
Generally, the manufacturers rate the injectors at 3 bar fuel pressure/100% wide open.
There can be disparities between different testers, depending on the equipment, and if they're applying the correct compensation for the type of test fluid they use.
Fluid temps will also effect the results.
As Harvey says, the main thing is that all the injectors are working correctly, and that they flow within a few % of each other, or if they don't flow within a few %, you know what they are doing, so if you have an ECU such as the Power FC, the mapper can adjust the individual cylinder fuel compensations.
Mark.
