Default dipstick

this should be a easy one to answer,on my 1996 classic there are 2 holes in the dipstick and a E and F
now witch is the mark i use to read the oil level is it the hole or the text

2 levels low and full and a notch which is full WHEN HOT

Use the holes as the markers, as said above the notch is max level when hot

have drained some old oil out and refilled in between the holes
